Their many different charms are appealing to various fan groups, making their future activities much to look forward to.”

Who is NU’EST?
NU’EST (NU, Established, Style, Tempo) is a boy group from South Korea, formed by Pledis Entertainment earlier this year. The group consists of five members, JR (the leader), Aron, Minhyun, Baekho and Ren, making them the first male band on Pledis Entertainment.

Before their debut this year, Aron, Minhyun, Ren and Baekho where back-up dancers for Afters School Blue’s “Wonder Boy” MV and also perfoming live. While JR was featured in After School’s Uee’s “Sok Sok Sok”, where he rapped on the track. He did also appear in Orange Caramel’s “Bangkok City” MV (therefore the nickname Bangkok City Boy), and Minhyun appeared in their “Shanghai Romance” MV (therefore the nickname Shanghai Boy). Beakho appeared in After School’s “Play Ur Love” MV.

As a group together, they made their unofficial appearance on December 29, 2011, by performing a shuffle dance with After School at the 2011 SBS Gayo Daejun.

Pledis Entertainment released several teasers of the boy in January, slowly revealing the faces of the members. First out was JR on January 16th. Minhyun and Aron’s faces where also revealed on the same day. Three days later, the last members was revealed, Baekho and Ren.

With all the members revealed, on March 2 they started promoting for their official debut, by driving around in a bus in the streets of Seoul advertising for their single, “Face”. Just a little over a week later, the music video for “Face” was released. The single was composed by the swedish songwriter Daniel Bergman. On March 15, NU’EST made a live performance debut on Mnet’s M! Countdown, where they performed “I’m Sorry” and “Face”. Later it was revealed that the group would get their own reality program, “Making of a Star: NU’EST, Landing Operation”, where the boys aims to capture the hearts of their fans by visiting various parts of South Korea.

On May the 8th, fellow label members Hello Venus, released a music video for their debut song “Venus”. All the boys from NU’EST performed as back-up dancers in the video.

While the boys are on hiatus (on a break), they are in studio preparing for their follow-up. In June, the MV is said to be complete and it’s speculated they will be back in July.
